Kate Spade at NYFW
Taking sophistication to another level was designer Kate Spade at NYFW with her Spring 2014 collection. Combining classiness of delicate accessories with a bit of edge with her structured well-cut silhouettes, the collection was every bit bright and cheerful.
This über feminine collection had a color palette with every shade of white and grey, bright reds, lime yellow and minty blues mixed with just the right amount of fuchsia.
The ready-to-wear collection reminded us of the 50′s and 60′s era where every woman embraced dainty dressing, much like the women of today who is also not afraid to go bold sometimes.
High-waist pencil skirts, shift dresses, flared midis, delicate blousons, ruffled and peplum tops, every silhouette was equally cherished. Metallic pinks and up-do’s in casuals and formals reminded us of the retro Barbie look. Floral printed pants, abstract peplum tops, block print dresses, there was an outfit for every woman to suit every occasion.
