Alila Villas Uluwatu
Curated for your itchy feet to free you from the forlorn attempts to escape, we bring you the sweet escape to Alila Villas Uluwatu, Bali, designed by WOHA, a Singapore based architectural firm. Live out of the suitcase of architect Sushil Kumar, who like all great travelers has seen more than he remembers and remembers more than he has seen.
Travel is becoming mission critical to be content in our modest lives, so a luxe treasure, walking on sunshine, a perfect holiday break, giggling in a pint of coconut bliss is a quintessential expression of a getaway. The emerald rice terraces, the black-sand beaches, the cliff top experience, the lazy ocean view, the polished ivory furniture and fittings are already giving us butterflies in the stomach!
The reception opening on all 4 sides gives you a direction, welcoming you for the different unexplored surprises. The infinity pool makes sure that you see stars as if it were a part of the sea shore. Well, to tempt you further we give you glimpses of villas available for your comfortable living delight. All villas are spacious with rock roofs and bamboo black ceilings, contemporary nature inspired and traditional Balinese interiors that are environmentally sustainable in walking connection to relaxing spas and pools. The idea of having a black ceiling with a hanging chandelier along with black flooring makes for beautiful reflective surfaces without the use of mirrors. Other facilities like leisure concierge service, gallery, gym and wellness, library, clinic, Wi-Fi etc. gives you more reasons to stay there. You can also have an intimate wedding or romantic events in the lush setting of the cliff edge Sunset Cabana with a platonic view of the Indian Ocean.
Considering the fact that the architects have worked with a simple module on such a large scale, the spaces are far from being monotonous. In fact, going by Sushil’s observations, each corridor has a different surprise in store for you.
Soothing, elegant and naturally sophisticated, Alila Villas is the perfect destination for anyone looking to indulge in class and comfort at a rather zen setting.
